Welcome to our first post! We want to start off by introducing the mission of the Goliath’s Head organization.

I’ll introduce myself, Elyssa Drexel, first. I am 20 years old and originally from Pennsylvania. I attend Liberty University and am pursuing a degree in Strategic Communication. 

I started this addiction resource and support website to help addicts and families gain information and support. My older brother has suffered from addiction so I have personally witnessed the physical and emotional effects and trauma that follow. I hope that this website will provide a sense of community and comfort to those who visit. 

The reason for the name Goliath’s Head, is a reference to the Biblical story of David and Goliath. It was not enough for David to just knock Goliath down with the stone, he had to finish by cutting of the head of the giant. Similarly addiction must be cut off at the head.
