The name Goliath's head comes from the Biblical story of David and Goliath. After David defeats the Giant with his slingshot, he does not stop there. He then takes out his sword and finishes the battle by chopping off Goliath's Head. Addiction must be defeated in the same way. It is not enough to knock it down, it needs to be cut off at the head in order to truly get past it.
